Location

Six Senses Yao Noi in Thailand

The Six Senses Yao Noi beach resort provides a relaxing, stress-free environment. It is located between Phuket and Krabi on a small island in Phang Nga Bay and sits on the site of a former rubber plantation. In order to get to the resort, guests can choose to fly into Phuket International Airport (HKT) or Krabi Airport (KBV). From the airport, the resort arranges a car or a boat to assist guests to the island. From either airport, Phang Nga Bay is just over an hour away. This bay is unique, however, and has limestone karsts that jut out of the water, offering a picturesque backdrop to the resort.

Amenities

Along with having needs met by a personal butler or GEM (Guest Experience Maker), enjoy a relaxing day in the sun with a private pool and terrace. Each villa comes with an infinity-edge pool just steps away from the bed. After a refreshing swim, rinse off in the outdoor shower and sip on a glass of wine from the specialised wine fridge. Rooms in this resort also feature personal safes, wifi, TVs and DVD players, and an IDD telephone.

Enjoy the best food that Thailand has to offer at The Living Room restaurant right there at the resort. Guests enjoy an open concept design and breathe in the fresh sea air from the bay in this all-day dining restaurant without walls.

Eat outside to enjoy the weather, or eat under covered seating. The restaurant offers unique views as guests walk on glass floors over a small creek. The only downside is that the restaurant can only feed eight at a time.

Looking for an even more exclusive experience? Dine at the Hilltop Reserve that sits on top of the resort for the best view of the bay. Besides these restaurants, the resort also has a relaxation bar and offers in villa dining.

Things to do

The resort offers a number of “Experiences” so guests can explore the bay. Their team can take you out on the water to go snorkeling, diving, kayaking, rock climbing, and more.

If you want to explore the island alone, there are a number of beautiful sites and exciting activities in Phang Nga Bay. Take a day to see James Bond Island where The Man with the Golden Gun  was filmed. Even for those that don’t care about the movie, the scenery is worth checking out.

For the adventurists, there is speedboating or try out cave canoeing nearby. To get a taste of the culture of Thailand, visit Koh Panyee. This village is built on water stilts, and it appears to float on the surface of the water. Another great site to visit are the limestone cliffs of the bay painted by mineral oxides.

So whether you are looking for your next family vacation or a romantic getaway, the Six Senses Yao Noi resort is the perfect balance of beauty and adventure.
