Review of The Ranch at Laguna Beach

If you were to ask our family what one of our favorite vacation spots in the world, the answer would be Southern California, specifically Orange County. There really isn’t anything quite like Laguna Beach, no matter what you’re looking for. There are amazing restaurants, incredibly shopping, small town charm, and some of the most gorgeous beaches on the planet. 

We chose to stay at The Ranch at Laguna Beach and it was one of our best vacation decisions yet. This resort is one of a kind. Even though it is two minutes from the beach, you feel like you are secluded in the mountains. The rooms are gorgeously decorated with understated elegance and comfort. Our two story suite had beautiful rooms and bathrooms as well as a living room with a walkout porch overlooking the golf course. 

We ate at their restaurant Harvest had one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. It exuded rustic charm and luxury. The service was impeccable and I’ve rarely seen such happy and friendly people- guests and staff alike. I think my favorite part was how awesome this place was for my kids. We walked into our suite to find snacks, treats, and stuffed deer toys, adorable canvas backpacks, and nature journals for each child. They planned excursions for our family that included a tour of a marine mammal rescue center and hospital, kayaking, and a campfire s’mores and sing-a-long evening. The kids were in heaven! 

This resort is one of only six National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World in the United States! It was amazing to see the care taken for the environment. Their glass water bottles are ground on site to create the sand for their golf course sand traps!
