Review of Hotel Indigo Downtown L.A.

The Hotel Indigo Downtown L.A. is an incredible hotel in, you guessed it, downtown Los Angeles. Let us tell you why…

Location

L.A. is known for traffic. But with Hotel Indigo, you need not worry! It’s 25 minutes from LAX, right at the intersection of the 10 and the 110 (and close to the 5 too). So, you’ve got plenty of options to get around town for business or pleasure. It’s also just one block from L.A. Live, so there’s endless options of things to do. You’re close to the Staples Center, the convention center, the fashion district, as well as endless restaurants, bars, clubs, art galleries, shops, and more.

Design

Hotel Indigo has a brand standard where each location’s architecture and interior design is influenced by history gathered within 5 blocks of the hotel. For the Hotel Indigo Downtown L.A., that history is incredibly rich and beautiful. The hotel pulls inspiration from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the Fiesta de los Flores to the prohibition-era speakeasies (we took a tour of a few, and they were incredible), and it weaves them together perfectly.

Amenities and Food

We love amenities and we love food! Hotel Indigo delivers on both. As for amenities, they boast a pool deck with fire pits and incredible views of the city, a penthouse lounge, a fantastic gym, endless meeting/conference rooms (designed in ways only Hotel Indigo could), and more.

As for food, they have the Metropole Bar + Kitchen and 18 Social – both were quite tasty. They also offer room service and a fun/well-stocked snack section.

Service

For some, quality service is the most important aspect of one’s stay. Hotel Indigo has expertly trained staff who were always happy and willing to help when needed. Even the GM is constantly present and attentive.

Final Thoughts

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Hotel Indigo Downtown L.A. The food was delicious, the service fantastic, the location perfect, and the design to die for. Whether you’re staying in Los Angeles for work or play, Hotel Indigo is the way to go.
