The Phoenician – Luxury Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona

There are so many beautiful and tropical resorts around the world.  And while exploring the world is something we love to do, it’s nice to be able to find a bit of paradise closer to home. This we found in the Sonoran desert, at The Phoenician Resort in Arizona.  Although the resort has been around since the 80’s, they have recently renovated and added to the entire resort, which coincidently happened to be nearly finished around the time we arrived. The whole resort embodies class, relaxation, but fun as well.

The pools were gorgeous, the staff was some of the best we have ever experienced, not to mention the food. There are several restaurants in the resort and each one a different genre of cuisine. The options are endless and it made it equally as fun to choose each day where to eat. The newly renovated Spa was unreal. The treatments and entire experience on day one had us so hooked, we decided to go back a second day to experience it all again. One of the top things we loved was the kid friendly atmosphere. While it is very luxurious and peaceful, it has many exciting areas for kids. This includes a pool area specifically designed for kids, which has a splash pad, water slides, and smaller pools to enjoy. There is also an iFly trapeze station which has been a BIG hit—and for all ages! It seems perhaps the adults have even more fun than the kids! Tennis courts, a golf course, a new interactive gym, and excellent hiking — this place couldn’t have been any more luxurious, and yet so family friendly! The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and they invested in the most comfortable bed pillows! This is always something that adds to the experience for us. A good night’s sleep can be bought! 😉

Another thing we enjoyed was the tropical landscaping mixed with the desert topography. Walking to our room you pass a garden trail through local  blossoming cacti, palm trees, bright pink bougainvillea’s, and twinkle lights lining the trails and walk ways. It truly made for a gorgeous stroll.  We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it to couples and families alike. Check them out here!
