Marigot Bay Resort and Marina – Luxury Trip Review in St. Lucia

The Marigot Bay Resort and Marina has to be one of the coolest vacation spots ever. Not only is it on Saint Lucia (the coolest island in the Caribbean, IMO), but it’s blend of timeless elegance, hip fun, and beach atmosphere can’t be beat. Located right on the marina, you get a view of the ocean, gorgeous yachts, and sandy beaches which are a 20 second boat ride (free ferry) away. Our suite was gorgeous. Dark wood and cream accents (think Nordstrom aesthetic- HIGH praise from me). We enjoyed a very spacious private balcony and hot tub, and down a few flights of stairs brought us to the first of two beautiful pools. The upper pool features a swim up to bar, Sushi restaurant/bar (so fun to watch them make it in front of you), cabanas, and an upbeat atmosphere. Down at a slightly lower level is the adults only pool that has slightly more zen vibes. The cabanas were so comfortable I literally wanted to sleep on them overnight.

The four restaurant options were all amazing, but the The Grill was our favorite. Gorgeous presentation and delicious food. Really top quality and so impressive. The spa was also beautiful and unique with individual hut-like rooms (air conditioned and gorgeous) with jungle walkways between. Our massage was canceled due to a sunburn, but we opted instead for a soothing skin treatment and head massage. I was in heaven. (Sidenote: We only realized how bad our sunburns were at night, after all the stores were closed and it was too late to buy any Aloe vera. We went to the front desk to ask for help, but they didn’t know what to do. BUT, about 20 minutes later, someone showed up at our room with actual aloe plants they had found and cut down for us so we could rub the oils on our burns. How incredible is that?! What an amazing staff!)

I would recommend Marigot Bay to anyone. It is perfect for couples, families, groups of friends, or a restful solo vacation. It has a little something for everyone including group or private classes, shopping, sunset cruises (incredible!), and more.
