Four Seasons Bora Bora – A Review

Four Seasons Bora Bora – A Review

Our recent stay at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is one we will never forget. The 5 star service started from the moment we got off the plane.  When we landed in Bora Bora, we were greeted with fresh flower leis and a warm smile as we boarded a stylish wood boat.  We took a quick 15 minute scenic boat ride to the resort where we were provided cold towels and bottled water.

When we arrived at the resort, the staff was waiting for us with passion fruit smoothies and offered each couple with one-on-one service to provide an overview of the resort and answer any questions about the stay. Since we arrived before check-in, we relaxed while eating a delicious lunch at the Faré Hoa Beach Bar & Grill.

When we first walked into our overwater bungalow, we noticed a table full of chocolates, breads, treats, champagne, and a personal note. We were amazed by the spaciousness of the bungalow and the amazing views from our private balcony.  We spent many hours relaxing on our balcony, jumping into the water and enjoying all the details of our private overwater oasis.

During our stay, we had the chance to try all of the restaurants at the resort. We were impressed with all of them and have been craving fresh fish ever since our trip. Our favorites were the halibut and crab cakes at the Arii Moana restaurant, mahi mahi and the tuna burger at Faré Hoa Beach Bar & Grill, and the crepes for breakfast at the Tere Nui restaurant.  Four Seasons Bora Bora works directly with local fisherman, so if you are debating between the room service pizza and fresh fish, definitely go with the fish!

For 5 straight days we never left the resort because we felt like we were in paradise.  We were able to access free kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment throughout our stay.  With a spacious work out facility, tennis courts and a volleyball courts, there were plenty of options for an active couple.  We spent Saturday morning at the spa where we enjoyed a wonderful couple’s massage with various oils and products to choose from for our treatment. We left completely relaxed and the only thing we would do differently next time is get an even longer massage!

If you are hoping to visit Bora Bora, but don’t want to pay peak season rates, March can be a good time to go. We were told March was considered the stormy season, but it only rained the first day we were at the resort.  The rest of the stay was beautiful and sunny.

Throughout our entire stay we experienced exceptional service.  From being greeted by name, to complimentary popsicles and fresh fruit skewers by the pool, the resort did everything we could think of to make our experience relaxing and enjoyable. The bungalows, food, service, entertainment, facilities, location and views made for an unforgettable vacation.  We look forward for our next opportunity to return to Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora!
