The Westin Valencia

Having never been to Valencia, Spain, I was so pleasantly surprised when we arrived at The Westin Valencia of Kiwi Collection. The town itself is beautiful and there are plenty of wonderful attractions. The incredible aquarium (Oceanografic) is the largest in Europe. And the Cathedral dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries and boasts one of the original eucharist chalices although this has not been proven.
After a day of sightseeing, The Westin is the perfect place to wind down and relax. The restaurant provides delicious Spanish cuisine. If you prefer to eat out of doors, the carefully manicured grounds within the hotel are gorgeous.
The spa and gym are both top quality and there is even a beautiful indoor pool that provides a few kid friendly morning hours, and then a quieter, adults only vibe the rest of the day.
Our adjoining rooms were spacious and luxurious. Beautiful wood paneling in the bathrooms and rich, warm colors lended an atmosphere of both coziness and opulence.
The underground parking garage was so convenient if you are driving your own car like we did. The staff was helpful and friendly. I think what I appreciated most was that although there is a definite luxurious, mature vibe, the hotel and staff was also very kid friendly. We felt so welcome and comfortable here. We would recommend this stay to everyone!
