Longitude 131° is located in the Northern Territory of Australia, near Uluru, which is often referred to as the heart of Australia or the red centre. This location is the epitome of Australia’s outback and is rich with aboriginal culture. Longitude 131° sits along the edge of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, offering a view of the park’s many iconic sculptures. The rich landscape is filled with a variety of vegetation, wildlife, and has an exquisite view of stars scattering the night sky.

The main theme of this lodge is natural scenery and the outback experience. The glass doors and many windows allow for scenic backgrounds throughout the site. The contemporary design is also rich with culture, featuring artifacts and local art to help guests feel that they are really at the heart of Australia.

 

Rooms

The rooms at this resort aren’t ordinary hotel rooms. The Longitude 131° rooms are luxury tents, each named after a different explorer. These canopied pavilions offer an experience that allows the enjoyment of the outdoors with a touch of elegance. The tents provide enclosure while still keeping the scenery with floor to ceiling windows. The rooms include organic linens, a balcony with a fireplace, and beautiful Australian design. The bathrooms feature elegant rain showers and plush robes. A new premium suite will soon be available.

 

Amenities

Longitude 131° offers an luxury “glamping” experience. Guests here are truly taken care of in luxury. The rooms and lodge are equipped with modern amenities offering Wifi, entertainment and music (which includes and iPad), telephones, and climate control. The lodge also includes housekeeping, turndown service, and an in-suite bar. Airport transportation is provided by either group shuttle or by helicopter.

 

Dining

The Dune House provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is Australian fusion, combining modern flavors with indigenous. Breakfast consists of pastries with coffee and teas, while lunch and dinner are multi-course meals. Dinner can also be enjoyed under the stars at Table 131° and includes a list of Australia’s finest wines. Delicious treats and beverages are also offered during some tours.

Longitude 131° offers a luxury wilderness experience. The signature tour provides a true outback experience and includes the following sites:

  • Walpa Gorge
  • Mala Walk- through the National Park
  • Field of Lights
